UCD and the Nevin Economic Research Institute has provided a detailed report of the quality of jobs in Ireland. Based on research from data obtained from the UCD Working in Ireland Survey (WIIS) 2021, it has concluded just over a quarter of workers are employed in what are considered to be secure, high quality jobs.
Younger workers and women tend to dominate Ireland’s worst jobs while men dominate the best positions in the country according to the report.

In between these good and bad jobs are jobs of moderate job quality in which half the workforce is employed.
