Globoforce IBM Report shows direct link between happy employees and financial returns for businesses

The Globoforce WorkHuman Analytics and Research Institute and IBM Smarter Workforce Institute have published a new report which points out the direct link between taking care of your employees and significant financial returns for an organisation. The report, The Financial Impact of a Positive Employee Experience, found organisations that score in the top 25% on employee experience report nearly 3 times the return on assets and more than 2 times the return on sales, compared to organisations in the bottom quartile.

This research follows on from the collaboration between IBM and Globoforce in a study of more than 22,000 workers in 45 countries and territories which culminated in the Employee Experience Index, which outlines essential human workplace practices that lead to a positive employee experience, such as:

Organisational integrity and co-worker support
Meaningful work
Feedback, recognition, and growth
Empowerment and voice
Work-life balance
