Michael Howard


Michael’s computing career commenced in 1968 as a computer operator. Whilst travelling and working in Australia he saw a gap in the market for an integrated HR, payroll and salary administration solution so in 1983, in Melbourne, he formed Frontier Software. No clients, just an idea, but within 2 years the first customer was signed. In 2021 the company spans the globe with 1700 customers. Michael is “hands on” and actively involved with the business, from strategic development decisions, attending Board meetings and deciding office locations to attending staff functions! He looks forward to an end of the pandemic and to being sociable again with customers, staff and friends.

Sandra Walker


Sandra’s career in marketing and sales support started in the financial services industry, but she has spent the last 30 years working within the HR/Payroll software market. Sandra joined Frontier Software in 2004 to develop and implement a bid management process and her primary role is the preparation of sales proposals and tenders. Working closely with the Business Development team and other areas of the business to ensure accurate, up to date content, she manages the entire bid process from identifying opportunities to getting a proposal out – often against tight deadlines. In addition, she prepares copy for mailers, magazine articles and other sales/marketing collateral as required.
