Here I am Saturday night and most Saturday nights before, fully committed to progressing my business and delivering on promises given to clients, I don’t want a medal as I would not have it any other way. We all have greatness within us, we are all born with greatness, but it is the very few that realise it. I am not saying that I am among those lucky ones that have realised their potential, but I will certainly try and keep trying to make it a reality. We don’t get what we want, we get what we have to have “Tim Robbins”, so make the commitment to progress, to change, to succeed in whatever area you wish to do so.
I started my business with a Laptop and €500, I had a vision for my life, for my family, my children and felt a need to prove that I could do it. I have three kids a mortgage and went for it and decided to leave full time employment to start my business. As Tim Robbins also said, “if you want to take the island, burn the boats”, meaning when you have no choice to make things happen sometimes you need to take the chance and put your self in that situation in order to set your mind free from constraints.
Decide today to be better, do more, be more and make it your life’s goal to realise your potential no matter what it is. You have an obligation to yourself and the generations that have passed before you to make your life count, we are so lucky to be here. Don’t be afraid to veer from the well-worn path, think some new thoughts, learn some new skills, follow your passion “Warren Buffett” and go for it. The road to success is through commitment “Will Smith”. Don’t allow anyone tell you it’s not possible. When you do decide to make the change, and commit to your new found concrete vision, the road ahead is hard for sure, but struggle brings growth and strength and remember success is not a destination it’s a journey. Be you, be strong, ignore the naysayers and make the commitment.
