Working For A Living – 7 Signs That Mean It’s Time To Leave Your Current Job

By Marc-Eddy Drouinaud Jr

In my opinion, regular day jobs are not exciting. We all have that gut feeling but more often than not, most of us choose to ignore it. We like the safety that a job offers even though we are working for people we do not like. If you run into any of these signs, it is time to quit your job and reinvent your lifestyle.

#1 You have been in the same position for years

If you have been stuck in the same position for the past 4 or 5 years at your job then it is time to go. In my opinion, most companies want tot get the most out of you for the least amount of money. As workers, we usually find ourselves doing the work of 4 people in one for low pay.

#2 You are not learning anything

If you are bored and you find yourself doing to many tedious tasks, then it is time to go. While a job should not be stressful or too easy, sometimes it would not hurt to face a challenge. The reasons why challenges are important is because they offer a chance to learn and grow and become stronger as an individual.

#3 You do not have any passion for what your currently doing

I can describe this as forcing yourself to go to work everyday. You do not want to but you have to because you need the paycheck. You constantly keep looking at the clocking waiting to go on your break. Soon as the clock hits the end of your shift you find yourself running to your car to get home.

#4 You are not being appreciated

As a human being, it is tough to do work everyday and feel like your boss does not acknowledge you for the hard work that you put in everyday. If you feel like your employer is taking your work for granted you need to go.

#5 Your job duties have multiplied but your pay has not

I believe that if you come across a situation like this one, communication is important. You need to talk to your boss face-to-face and discuss the terms of your pay. If you feel after the discussion that your pay will not increase, then it is time to leave.

#6 You do not have time for yourself

You need some time to recharge yourself,s o you can produce good work consistently. If you feel that your job is cutting to deep into your social life then it might be time to go.

#7 You are scared of change

We all have our comfort zone. However, if you want to become a successful leader, you must take a calculated risk. Change is never easy, however, complaining about how much you do not like your job will not change anything.
