Oliver Daniels

As both doting father and loving son, Oliver Daniels has first-hand experience of the daily challenges working parents can face – all of which inspire and motivate him to help ensure other parents and carers can make work+family really work.

In his role as Operations Manager for Backup Care at Bright Horizons, Oliver was responsible for smooth and seamless service delivery throughout the UK and Ireland. He led the Backup Care team for eight years, working closely with our web team to develop and implement improved systems and processes, as well as growing and maintaining both countries’ largest Backup Care provider network.

Since moving to the Business Development team just over a year ago. Oliver has enthusiastically promoted all we do: bringing new family-friendly employers on board; regularly joining our thought leadership and networking events; and on occasion even trying his hand at public speaking… “all for the cause”, in his own words. He is our business development lead for Ireland, a natural fit given the amount of time he usually spends there.

Oliver loves to unwind with a good book (his guilty pleasure is pulp science fiction) and to stay healthy he swims regularly. But the joy of Oliver’s life – the apple of his eye and greatest source of comic relief – is without doubt his smart, beautiful, not-so-little-anymore, little girl.

The pandemic has fundamentally transformed our work-life dynamic, blurring the already faded lines between work and family, perhaps permanently eroding what was just a generation ago a well-defined, clear-cut separation of the two. Learn what Ireland’s leading employers are already doing to help their working parents and carers meet the novel challenges that hybrid working, periodic lockdowns, and a school-free world have presented.

Sarah Knoppe

As an American living in Ireland, Sarah Knoppe has seen the importance of child care and having trusted care available even when your regular care system is not available. As Head of Global Benefits at LogMeIn, she has been able to implement a number of family-friendly benefits, including Bright Horizons in Ireland, the UK, US and Germany with the Canada implementation only a few weeks away from launching.

Sarah looks forward to spending time in her garden and getting out into the Irish countryside with her husband on their motorbike.
